A lovely nursing home in Kulai

Mr. Wong, who is now at the age of nearly 70, is a humorous uncle and the person in charge of this nursing home. The reason he created this home is to help the homeless and those elderly, whose their children are not able to take care of them. This kindhearted uncle always stay in the nursing home even during Chinese New Year, he will always be there to celebrate with all the elderly people. He told us that he does have children but they are not willing to take over this nursing home.

Hu Ai Home Care has been established for 5 years. There are total of 30 elderly people, most of the elderly people in this nursing home were sent by their children and they will pay a certain amount of money while some of them, who are homeless, were sent by welfare department or hospital to this home care centre. Even though they collect some money from their children but it is not enough to cover all of their monthly expenses which is around RM 12,000, including the rental fee, the worker's salaries and other miscellaneous. Those elderly people require close attention to their diet as most of them suffering from diabetes, hypertension, stroke and dementia.

The home care accepts any form of help and donation but preferable to those daily necessities such as laundry detergent and floor cleaner. However, Mr. Wong encourages us to come over and join them as the best things those elderly people need the most is accompanies.
