Kuan Ai Home Care is a nursing home located quite near to Hu Ai Home Care as it
is only the next street within the same residential area. It has been established
for 4 years and now there are total 28 elderly people living in this
nursing home. Mr Lian, the person in charge of this nursing home, has told us
they are now short in manpower which can look after those elderly people as some of
them are wheelchair-bound and need special care.
Besides that, their monthly expenses, which including the cost of living, the worker's salaries and other miscellaneous, is around RM 12,000.
The picture shown is the view from the outside. It looks like one of the normal double storey terrace house with a small sign of ‘Kuan Ai Home Care’. However, they
have renovate the interior to make the resting area more spacious for the elderly to live more comfortably. The home
care accepts any form of help and donation but preferable to those daily
necessities such as laundry detergent and floor cleaner.
Can you guess how old is this granny? Yes! This granny already 98 years old yet still in a good health condition and able to knit freely without a spectacle. What even surprise us is that she can knit without looking at her stitches! Even though she cannot see clearly and it takes up to few weeks for her to complete a sweater, we really admire the determination and patience she put in to consistently finish those lovely sweaters!
